谁或什么是贡献者？

A 贡献者 is anyone required to provide consent and approval for obtaining federal tax information needed to complete a student's FAFSA. 如适用，贡献者可包括：

The student's or parent's answers to 一些问题 on the FAFSA will determine which 贡献者s (if any) will be required to provide information.

• Social Security number (or ITIN – Individual Taxpayer Identification Number if no SSN)

2. Create a StudentAid.gov account (FSA ID) if you don't already have one.

如果我是一个贡献者，不想提供我的信息怎么办？ 

Being a 贡献者 does not make you responsible for the cost of a student’s education in any way. Your information is only required to complete the student’s application. However, if a required 贡献者 refuses to 提供他们的信息, it will result in an incomplete FAFSA, and the student 不会 be able to receive federal or state aid.
